alright... been a while since i've done one of these.. lets see if i still got it...

Lets just say that the wind is not the only thing that is going to be blowing this year in Chicago....

The cubbies are going to rebuild and Play for 3 seasons from now.. Sosa has already been shipped and the up-coming dispersal Draft is going to shap this team mostly...

Catching Duties will fall on Damian Miller for now, he's a decent catcher, not going to put up to many hitting numbers, but he is a wonderful fielder and he can handle the pitching staff... Paul Bako will back his ass up...

At First base is Hee Seop Choi he is one of Several rookies that will be playing for this club and he is the prime example of the direction this club is headed.. Eric Karros was traded already for prospects and picks... So the starting job has been given to Choi, we dont expect to much out of him this year but we hope in a season or two he will be a great hitter..

The 2nd baseman at the time of this email is Mark Grudzelanek He will probably split time between one of the many rookies that are sneaking up on him for the starting job... the second we feel that Grud isnt putting up the numbers we have hoped, either rookie Bobby Hill, or even Stud Low prospect Pedro Lopez will jump in.. There are also rumors the Grud is being shoped around..

At SS my personal favorite posistion, Ramon Martinez will start the season at Short, but as in the same case as Grud he will be a short term player, bobby hill also is learning to play short and Nate Frese is waiting for his shot in the minors.

3b is going to 33 year old rookie Jose Hernandez, he's payed his dues in the minors and now is going to get his shot in the big club.. heck, what do we have to lose.. David Kelton might be brought up mid season to get some at bats, but unless a trade is made its going to be mostly Hernandez with Veteran Lenny Harris getting the ocasional start..

The starting 3 of will be Anchord by Veteran and all around good guy, speedy Tom Goodwin, Playing left is Another Vet. Moises Alou, Alou probably is the best pure hitter on the team, but is being shopped to many teams in hope that he can hold his value and bring in some good prospects. The 3rd Of posistion is going to be given to Corey Patterson to start the season... Patterson has huge upside...

We have so many OF prospects in the minors that the odds of Alou and Goodwin finishing the year here are slim..

now on to my pride my joy, my pitching...

Prior, Wood, Zambrano, Clemente... sniff sniff im so happy... this is the core of my team... i dont care if jesus was the 5th starter, these guys will bring a championship t Chicago in the near future...
